Chris Bowden

Founder & CEO

Chris Bowden is the founder and CEO of SQE (formerly Squeaky Energy) - an energy supply platform exclusively for industrial and commercial (I&C) users. Chris is a respected energy thought leader with more than 35 years’ experience in the industry. His expertise covers the UK corporate energy market, sustainability, renewable innovation, and futurism.

Chris pioneered the development of flexible electricity supply arrangements and completed Europe’s first corporate PPA in 2008 whilst CEO at Utilyx. Chris was also involved in the development of the UK pool, worked on the bond financing of Sutton Bridge, and held the position of CEO at Spenceram - a company that advised pension funds on investing in renewable energy.

Chris has experience in starting and building up companies for sale. He is an alumni of Harvard Business School, Cass Business School and Manchester University, and also attended the University of Singularity.
